After my recent health adventures and a forced break from the deep woods, I decided to stay closer to the water and safer, open spaces. My steps led me straight to Lake Radun, home to a place I briefly mentioned before but which deserves a completely separate post. I am talking about the incredible wooden suspension bridge. When you stand on the shore and look at this structure stretched across the water, you instantly forget about the entire digital world and slow internet loading at home. It is the perfect spot for catching beautiful shots with my new digital camera, especially when the sun begins to slowly dip below the tree line.

While standing on the wooden planks of the bridge and enjoying this free silence therapy, I noticed that this place also has a second, incredibly dynamic face. After all, Walcz and its lake are the absolute heart of Polish sports, especially water sports. especially water sports. I was incredibly lucky because I got to watch a professional rowing training taking place on the water, with athletes preparing for the upcoming championships. Watching these sports stars speeding in their narrow boats across the perfectly smooth surface of the lake leaves a powerful impression and fills you with immense admiration for their hard work.

The rhythmic sound of oars hitting the water and the loud commands of the coach riding alongside in a motorboat completely broke the idyllic vibe of the afternoon, adding an incredible surge of energy. Looking at their synchronization and the muscles working with every single stroke, I realized just how much effort goes into fighting for a sports championship. These people do not know any shortcuts—they train here from dawn till dusk, regardless of the weather, while we complain about minor inconveniences in our daily lives. If you ever find yourself near Walcz, make sure to take a walk to the suspension bridge, not just for the views, but to feel that incredible, motivating energy floating over the lake.
