Have a Nice Day

This project is deeply rooted in the distinctive tradition of Łódź street art, tucked away in the atmospheric courtyard of a historic tenement house at 17 Polska Organizacja Wojskowej Street. The artwork was created with a unique purpose—conceived as a spontaneous artistic gesture of gratitude and a “surprise” for the local residents, thanking them for their patience during a lengthy two-year facade renovation.
The composition captures two children at a window frame—a girl cutting the strings of vibrant, colorful balloons and a deeply contemplative boy. In its full scope, the piece seamlessly blends with illusionistic details and whimsical elements, such as a painted magician and a cat. By interacting directly with the raw urban fabric, the project transforms a secluded courtyard into an intimate open-air gallery. It stands as a testament to the power of street art to shift everyday perspectives and unite communities through shared aesthetic experiences.
